Week 4: My Crazy Beautiful Life (Member Photos)
Life can be so crazy. Running, constantly running, trying to get everything done and take care of everyone, and still somehow carve out a little time for ourselves. It can feel a bit like being on a moving train, looking out the window at everything passing us by in a blur. It's good to stop once in a while and really notice all the good that surrounds us. There is beauty to be found in every day if we just take the time to look. It was really fun getting a more personal glimpse into The ME Project members' lives this week. All of our lives are different, but one thing is obviously the same... they are all crazy beautiful.
Kati York - Struggle after suffering after disappointment, I used to see no beauty, no point. Once I became a mom though, my children gave me a new way to see and experience life, to stop and really, fully experience the moment, witness the beauty constantly surrounding us, and I'm forever grateful for it. Last summer I packed us up and we moved to Vancouver Island, a dream I'd had at the back of my mind in the never-gonna-happen folder, because fear puts a lot of wild, true-to-who-I-am but unconventional thoughts in that folder. It was terrifying moving away from family, especially as a solo parent, but we found home and felt it immediately. We are more ourselves and more connected to each other when we're out experiencing the beauty in nature, and we now live here! Definitely a beautiful life, these joyful moments finally outnumbering the challenges and chaos.

Kristina Forbes - This is us. The boys have some amazingly detailed war set up with the green toy soldiers. The hubs is riding the couch, and I'm in the midst of the mess, sometimes working, sometimes cleaning, sometimes just trying to survive, but always enjoying every crazy, ever changing minute of it.

Aubrey Dettmer - 38 weeks pregnant and unable to bend over without fear of not being able to get back up, so I've enlisted my 2 year old to help me with laundry. She is a great helper and and loves to do it. And now she's begun "helping" with laundry, whether that's getting laundry out of the dryer, or unfolding my clean laundry and putting it in baskets. It's the thought that counts.

Jen Ostler - My Crazy Beautiful Alaskan Life

Elena Pendell - Crazy is life with three kids. Beauty is losing myself in a good book making the chaos all but disappear.

Eboni Rivera - Most of my life revolves around my children’s routines - morning routines, after school routines, bedtime routines, etc. Before motherhood, I pretty much did what I wanted, when I wanted and never had to stick to a schedule other than work. I was truly carefree but becoming a mom has made me realize that I can get a lot more accomplished in the day if I can manage to stick to a set routine. So, everyday after walking home from the bus stop, we do our homework routine. This is my crazy beautiful life which is a far stretch from how exciting it used to be but you know what? I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Francesca Russell - My crazy beautiful life. Trying to raise these two littles as best I can.

Kristina Dominianni - This is us most of the time after work/school. We generally just lounge around while our four year old runs circles around us! I swear she has limitless energy!

Alexis Pickard - 2.5 years ago I got married, had a baby and moved 1100 miles away (Ontario, Canada) from family and friends to a little city in Arkansas. I went from having a professional job to having vegtable gardens and chickens....I wouldn't trade this in for anything. I always knew that I was a country girl at heart.

Trish Molina-McCoy - My daily life is not only being a stay at home mom but it also consists of living with my mom and me helping in being one of my mom's caregivers, because she has Alzheimer's. I took this shot of my hand with my mother's hand and photos of my mom and me as a child with the current book on Alzheimer's I am reading. She kept asking who the little girl in the photos where. It eventually clicked after a while that it was us. My life is crazy dealing with this disease every day. But it's still beautiful looking back on memories with her.

Charlaine Williams - This is the most honest, real, true picture I have ever posted on the internet. This is my crazy beautiful life. We had all just finished running around with the camera on a slow shutter speed for about 30 minutes to capture the blur of every day...they play with me so I can expand my vision, passion, and creativity. My house is a mess. I haven't vacuumed, picked up, done dishes, even gotten a shower or gotten dressed. We are exhausted but Lily is still full of energy. My foot is cut off. This is every day and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It may be crazy. It may not look perfect to others. But it truly is beautiful.

Lauren Kamenitz - If I sit down, they all sit down. If I lay down, they all lay down. On top of me, underneath me, doesn't matter. As long as I'm in the center, everyone is ok for now!
